What a fantastic way to ring in the New Year! We were just steps away from some of the famous hells and had a stunning view from our room that made for a perfect celebration. Plus, the local cuisine was incredible, especially the fresh seafood at dinner. The staff was super friendly and treated us like family throughout our stay!

A posh non-smoking place full of Asian delights. Kids? Inform them! Front desk never sleeps. Free Wi-Fi for my cat videos. Hot springs and a gym to work off the Chestnut Pudding. Amazing views! But those worn-out pillows? Really?
I just adore feeling ancient charm in outdated establishments.

Our room was unexpectedly spacious and cozy, making us feel right at home. the private onsen was a total game-changer for relaxation after a long day exploring Beppu. Being next to the famous Beppu Jigoku Meguri Hells Tour was a bonus!
The breakfast had limited options, but hey, that house-made pudding was a winner!

Kannawaen is a high-class hotel with a breathtaking view over the city from its private bedroom onsen. the service was excellent, and the localization in the middle of the famous jigoku onsens was ideal. Spending 500 USD for a night was completely worth it - a truly luxurious experience.
Small dinner portions. No complaints.

The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the stunning blue hot spring. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. The facilities were top-notch, with everything being new and spotlessly clean. Our room had all the amenities we needed, including a large and comfortable bed. We were pleasantly surprised by the in-room onsen, which was a nice touch. The public onsens were also beautiful and relaxing. this place exceeded all our expectations and was definitely our favorite accommodation during our trip.

That it was a bit difficult to find the hotel; however, the staff were more than helpful in directing us to the correct location.

Enjoyed the complimentary Christmas activities and presents, as well as the festive decorations around the hotel. the location was perfect, with many attractions and restaurants nearby. Best of all was the private open-air bath, perfect for relaxation after a long day of sightseeing.
The hotel is quite far from the city center and train station, which made transportation a bit difficult. the food in the hotel restaurants was quite expensive.

The water supply system in the hotel seemed to be problematic. Some guests experienced a lack of hot water which led to inconveniences.
